Park sees 100 million NOK in sales via the Yonoton platform

Yonoton, a leader in omnichannel digital ordering and payment services for the hospitality and entertainment sector, is celebrating the success of Dyreparken, Norways’ largest theme park, which had an all-time record year, boosted by Yonoton’s digital omnichannel services.

The company’s versatile SaaS platform provides an omnichannel solution for theme parks, allowing operators to run their business efficiently, save operational costs and generate extra revenue. The platform enables users to manage everything from one place, regardless of the channel (app, webshop, point-of-sale or self-service kiosk). Read the Dyreparken’s case study here.

Powered by Yonoton

Dyreparken consistently tests new digital innovations at the park, and used Powered by Yonoton’s Park branded app, Point-of-Sale system, order management, self-service kiosks, NFC wristband payments and virtual queuing system. And now the results are in: 100 million NOK in sales via the Yonoton platform, 650,000 transactions via the Yonoton platform, 300,000 app installations and 3.8 million navigation inquiries. The platform became Norway’s most downloaded travel app, and the country’s 6th most downloaded app overall.

This shows that the attraction is making money from digital services. Dyreparken also won’t slow down and new digital services will be taken into use after the season. And Yonoton, with its SaaS platform, now provides similar services for other theme parks, zoos, amusement parks and water parks.

App proves essential

“Our ambition is to create lifelong memories for our visitors,” says Andre Steinsholm, the park’s head of eCommerce. “To make that happen we have to improve and optimize the guest journey constantly. One of our main goals is to reduce wasted time, and these new features will certainly help accomplish that.”

“Dyreparken has had a clear vision from the very start,” says Yonoton CEO, Teemu Karenius. “They sought a robust platform on which they could solidly build current and new business. We are honoured to be providing Dyreparken with a true omnichannel platform, are happy for their record year and super excited to be bringing on new innovations to the theme park industry.”

The Yonoton team will be on hand to showcase its solutions at IAAPA Expo Europe in Barcelona from 28 – 30 September and can be found on booth #1-250.

Earlier this year, the company also announced that it has strengthened its partnership with the popular Moominworld theme park in Finland.
