Lo-Q, specialists in virtual queuing solutions, announced the acquisition of ticketing provider accesso in December 2012.  The move enhanced the company’s portfolio of technology products aimed at “enhancing guest convenience and optimizing revenue drivers”.

Steve Brown, who now serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Lo-Q’s North America business, said, “These agreements reinforce the benefits our combined organization offers.  Together we leverage the talent of both teams and our collective technological, mobile and operational expertise, offering the industry a one-stop shop to find the next generation solutions they need to meet the rapidly changing expectations of their guests.”

Raging Waters

Raging Waters, San Dimas, California, is to add Lo-Q’s virtual queuing wristband for waterparks, the Q-band.  Q-band is an innovative waterproof RFID wristband that allows guests to queue virtually.  This announcement follows the successful implementation of Lo-Q’s Q-band at Palace Entertainment’s Splish Splash waterpark in Long Island.

Q-band is branded as H2Go Pass at Palace Entertainment’s waterpark locations and will be installed at nine of the Raging Waters top slides in time for the 2013 summer season.

Noah’s Ark

Noah’s Ark located in the Wisconsin Dells has begun utilizing accesso Passport’s eCommerce platform.  Noah’s Ark, the largest waterpark in the U.S., is the eighteenth Palace Entertainment Park to be served by accesso.

The online ticketing solution provided by accesso allows a comprehensive online shopping experience including advance sales of admission tickets, parking, meal vouchers, tours, merchandise, cabanas, birthday parties and more.  It also delivers increased guest conversion and commitment pre-arrival by integrating within a venue’s current website and keeping guests engaged throughout their browsing process.

Fernando Eiroa, President and CEO, Palace Entertainment, said, “The proven success of the Q-band product at Splish Splash water park in New York and the accesso eCommerce platform across our theme park and water park portfolio has made these obvious additions for both Raging Waters San Dimas and Noah’s Ark.  We look forward to implementing these technology solutions for the 2013 season to help increase our overall guest satisfaction levels.”
