Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has announced that its park solution, Tixera, has gone live at Aqua World Water Park in Naalya. This is Semnox Solutions’ first project in Uganda.
The attraction is using Tixera to support a variety of activities, including ticketing, admission validations, food and beverage, digital signage, and weather-proof deducting agents.
Improving visitor experience
Aqua World Water Park is now managing ticketing using barcoded wristbands. By adding Tixera’s Xcess Reader with a barcode scanner at the gates, it has been able to simplify and automate the entry process for visitors.
The park has also implemented two fast-service food and drinks stations with Semnox POS systems, equipped with a kitchen display system for prompt order delivery. A digital signage solution lets visitors know that their orders are ready.
Diana Baguma, owner of Aqua World Water Park, says: “Technology is gaining momentum in Uganda, which is considered to be a low-developed country. We recognize the importance of keeping up with this trend and providing the benefits of technological advancements and convenience to our customers. Semnox is a user-friendly solution that has a strong industry presence and offers products that cater to both businesses and guests. We are pleased to have been introduced to Semnox and to have achieved our goals with their help.”
Sales head for MEA parks, Semnox, Meghashyam, comments: “Expanding to new countries is always a challenge for any organization. Despite this, we have successfully added 7 new countries post-pandemic, which is a testament to our dedication to the park industry. Our solution has been well received and implemented with minimal complications. We are thrilled to have onboarded Aqua World Waterpark, Naalya and wish them all the best!”
Semnox Solutions recently provided RFID technology for Noble Leisure, an arcade at Portobello Beach, Edinburgh, UK. The installation will help the arcade to make its processes more efficient and will improve the visitor experience, via a cashless environment with “tap-to-pay” technology.
