Xcaret plans new He’Elel Riviera Maya eco theme park

Grupo Experiencias Xcaret has announced plans for He’Elel Riviera Maya – a new eco theme park for Riviera Maya.

Riviera Maya News reports that a planning application has been submitted for the 55 acre, 80 million peso ecopark south of Solidaridad.

The eco theme park will be a centre for ecotourism with outdoor adventure sport offerings including hiking, biking and kayaking. Adventure sports with a wellness and environmental theme are key trends for ecotourism worldwide.

The Xavage ecopark is set to open on 10 December 2018. Another new park Xibalbá is also planned near Valladolid, Yucatan.
