Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is engaging with the public today (September 30) during its second consultation event.

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is engaging with the public during its second consultation event today (September 30), following an initial public consultation in June.

The event will showcase Roarr!’s expansion plans to date, which involve creating a themed area within the existing 85-acre site, featuring dino-themed attractions, outdoor rides, and an 11-metre volcano.

Members of the development team will be available to answer questions at the event, which will be held at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure today from 2pm to 7pm.

The public consultation event at Roarr! follows the submission of an environmental scoping report to Broadland District Council in June this year.

The prehistoric-themed attraction in Lenwade, Norfolk hopes to expand into 1.9 hectares of open land, surrounded by mature trees and previously used for Roarr!’s deer safari attraction.

The expansion will initially include a 10-metre volcano ride, as well as an interactive outdoor play area, climbing and exploring offerings, and F&B outlets.

Adam Goymour, park director at Roarr!, said: “An initial public consultation took place in June and provided an opportunity for local residents and interested parties to have their say at an early stage.”

Goymour said the initial public consultation and ongoing site investigations “have been influential in shaping the proposals for our planning application and have been very useful in understanding the issues of concern”.

The project team will submit a full planning application at the beginning of December alongside an environmental statement. Detailed site investigations, analysis and reporting are nearing completion.

“If passed through planning, this will be our most significant investment to date, bringing with it huge economic benefits,” Goymour added.

“We are constantly striving to make this the UK’s number one dinosaur-themed attraction and our ambitions as a park mean that we are also committed to improving Norfolk’s tourism potential by making constant improvements and innovations to our business.”

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure features animatronic dinosaurs and attractions such as Dippy’s Splash Zone, Secret Animal Garden, Dippy’s Raceway, Dinomite Indoor Adventure Play and Dippy’s Theatre.

After submitting a full application in December, Roarr! hopes to have a planning outcome in April 2022. Earlier this year, Roarr! announced a series of appointments and promotions as part of its long-term growth strategy.
