Semantic develops LOOP system for attraction websites

News
Semantic Loop

Semantic, a company that designs, creates and optimises websites for visitor attractions around the world, has created a versatile programme for venues wanting a modern and easy-to-manage website system.

The LOOP system, provided by Semantic, gives attractions a mobile-optimised website with easy navigation for prospective guests. The site is easy to maintain by using an integrated Content Management System (CMS) and includes all capabilities a tourism site would want to feature including opening times, event calendars, FAQs, search function, and interactive maps. The sites deliver for all audiences with their fast performance and AA+ Level Accessibility.

Unlike services provided by some advertising agencies, LOOP gives operators the option of a subscription service for their website, based on visitor volumes, helping to minimalise upfront costs.

For this fee, the site will be continually updated, ensuring reliable hosting uptime, speed and performance. The Semantic team will continue to optimise the site over time, taking advantage of improvements in web technology and security.

Delivering performance

Semantic understands the needs of visitor attractions, and the importance of a solid website within any venue’s marketing mix: “Their success should not be subjective based purely on creative design, but on usability and measurable criteria such as visitor traffic and revenue generation,” the firm explains.

“With economic uncertainty still impacting leisure and tourism, attractions need innovative ways to keep cost-sensitive customers engaged and booking,” says Neil Lewin, the owner of Semantic. “We have been creating our LOOP platform for the past year, partly in response to the pandemic, but now the notion of having better, faster and cheaper website development and support for visitor attractions has even more relevance.

“By deploying LOOP,  attractions can have fast websites that are always up-to-date, secure, accessible and constantly improving, freeing up your time to focus on the marketing.  With 25 years of experience in the sector, we are excited to help shape the future of attractions, ensuring a fantastic visitor experience to help delight your customers and drive revenue.”

Hugh Gledhill, performance marketing director at Layered Reality adds: “We love working with Semantic. They share our passion for results and bring calm, capable expertise to every project. The team is friendly and helpful, with an attitude that’s refreshingly can-do. Conversion rates have improved measurably since we started working with the LOOP platform, and performance is better than anything we’ve seen previously.”

Semantic is committed to developing LOOP with new features and modules, ensuring destinations can keep their online marketing up to scratch and avoiding the need for a complete rebuild after a set number of years.

Notable clients include Beaulieu, The Silverstone ExperienceMarwell Zoo and Merlin Entertainments.

Semantic has recently described its work with Yorkshire Wildlife Park, creating a single platform site that promotes the wildlife attraction and resolves issues created by the historical website.
