New partnership will enhance operations and improve the guest experience at UK park

Convious, a leading eCommerce platform for the leisure industry, has announced that has entered into a three-year partnership with West Midland Safari Park (WMSP), part of the Looping Group. The company will help this popular UK attraction to streamline all aspects of its eCommerce and attraction operations across the park.

WMSP is home to more than 165 species of exotic animals and is well-known for its work in wildlife conservation. It works together with other zoos as well as universities and national and international conversation organisations. It also offers seasonal events and an adventure theme park.

Simplifying operations and boosting performance

Thanks to this new multi-year deal with Convious, WMSP will benefit from a fully integrated eCommerce, crowd control and guest experience platform. This will be rolled out park-wide in order to simplify operations and boost performance. The solution includes ticketing, finance, and guest experience features, meaning that the operator has complete real-time insights and control through one cloud-based platform.

Initially, the park will use the data-driven AI solution to focus on driving better online conversion rates and to simplify the guest purchase experience during and after their visit. It will also bring in dynamic pricing.

“We now operate in an increasingly digitised world so ensuring continuity between the online and offline guest experiences is essential,” says Andy Povey, managing director UK & Ireland at Convious.

“Our intelligent AI-driven platform allows destinations to take this one step further and fully personalise the guest journey. By recognising where people are in the visitor cycle, operators can connect with their guests from that very first interaction, enhance the experience by streamlining the process, increase conversion rates and offer intelligent upsells by truly understanding the requirements of guests at a given time.”

Improving the guest experience

Vikki Green, head of marketing at West Midland Safari Park adds:

“We are always looking at ways to enhance the guest experience and the tangible, personalised and data-driven insights that we get through the Convious platform will help us to do that. By better understanding our visitors, we can respond to ever-changing guest expectations and make everyone feel valued, whether that’s through online interactions or in person during their visit.

“We’re really looking forward to bringing the Convious tools to our visitors so they can have the best possible customer experience.”

Last month, Convious announced that it had reached 500,000 downloads of its ‘Tap’ app, the industry software that gives a seamless and linked mobile experience to improve the guest experience before, during, and after their visit.
