PGAV, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, is celebrating two significant career milestones with the promotion of Tom Marschner to vice president and Dan O’Neill to director of land planning and design.
Throughout their extensive careers at PGAV, Marschner and O’Neill have combined their passion and enthusiasm with a high level of design excellence.
“These advancements are well deserved for Tom and Dan, who have continued to expand their roles and have shown exceptional initiative in project leadership,” says PGAV Destinations CEO Mike Konzen.
“Tom’s new role will enable us to continue to build our portfolio of zoo and aquarium projects as we continue to tackle large-scale resort, entertainment, attraction, and mixed-use projects both in the U.S. and abroad.”
Sector dedication
Marschner has successfully managed numerous projects designing new habitats, remodelling established destinations, and master planning for the future since joining PGAV in 2005. He is a gifted architect who takes pleasure in a challenge and all aspects of the construction process, from conception to completion.
While working on numerous projects at PGAV, Tom discovered his enthusiasm for zoos and aquariums. He has developed his abilities to create creative and immersive animal habitats while giving visitors engaging learning opportunities.
Marschner says: “I am honoured to become a vice president at PGAV. I have dedicated my career to working closely with our zoo and aquarium partners and PGAV colleagues to create world-class habitats and guest experiences. As vice president, I am excited to be able to expand and continue that work.”
Fostering talent
O’Neill has been working with PGAV for almost 18 years, using landscape architecture to bring his love of design, art, and the great outdoors to life, with PGAV reporting his excellence at adjusting to various project requirements while keeping an eye on what matters to clients and projects. O’Neill’s portfolio at PGAV comprises a variety of Planners and Destinations positions, giving him a special understanding of every element required to produce effective results.
O’Neill adds: “I’m excited for the opportunity to expand and strengthen my role at PGAV. As the director of land planning and design, I look forward to continuing to drive the creation of outdoor environments while further growing client relationships and fostering PGAV’s internal talent.”
“Our zoo and aquarium projects, along with large-scale land development projects, have steadily grown in recent years,” says Konzen. “Enhancing the leadership roles of Tom and Dan will enable us to achieve the next level of design innovation and allow us to serve our clients better.”
PGAV Destinations recently unveiled the Ruby Falls Cafe, a National Register Building project which utilised modern design and incorporated sustainable dining for visitors.
