Typhoon Lagoon is reopening at Walt Disney World on 19 March. On the same date, the resort’s other water park, Blizzard Beach, will close temporarily.
When the tropical-themed water park reopens, it will bring back the ticketed ‘H2O Glow After Hours’ event, which returns on 20 May.
The event includes lighting effects, DJ dance parties, surprise character appearances, an adults-only area, and free ice cream treats, popcorn and select beverages.
Returning event and new F&B
New sweets and treats at Typhoon Lagoon include the ‘Pineapple Upside Down Cone’ at Happy Landings, and a BBQ chicken and pineapple flatbread at Leaning Palms.
Additionally, the ‘Typhoon Tilly Sipper’ will be available for a limited time as a refillable foutain beverage. The new ‘Kungaloosh Kooler’, a strawberry Dole Whip, contains rum, orange juice, blackberry brandy and strawberry Fanta.
In January 2022,Ā Typhoon Lagoon welcomed guestsĀ for the first time in nearly two years after closing in response to Covid-19. It later closed again for seasonal renovations.

The parkās aquatic attractions include waterslides such as āCrush ānā Gusherā, āBay Slidesā, and āStorm Slidesā. Guests can also relax in a lazy river called āCastaway Creekā, and enjoy family-friendly water rides and the largest wave pool in North America.
Blizzard Beach reopened in NovemberĀ with a selection of newĀ Frozen-themed attractions, including Anna and Elsaās igloo, and statuettes of Olaf and his Snowgie friends.
Disney World‘s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have not operated simultaneously since the pandemic hit in March 2020.
