Grand Palais Immersif exceeds 100,000 visitor record with ETERNAL MUCHA

Grand Palais Immersif, a subsidiary created by the Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais and a developer of digital exhibitions, has announced that it has seen record-breaking attendance for its ETERNAL MUCHA exhibition presented at the Opera-Bastille venue.

The immersive exhibition has welcomed 850 visitors per day since it opened on 22 March 2023, and has also enjoyed much public and press recognition. The show, which is open until 5 November 2023, blends a spectacular immersive design with many original and didactic ways to discover and learn as guests discover the life and work of artist Alphonse Mucha. The exhibition explores Mucha’s history and his inspirations, as well as looking at his impact on many following artistic movements.

ETERNAL MUCHA 100,000 visitors

ETERNAL MUCHA presents giant immersive films for a duration of 30 minutes, showcasing the life of the artist and his amazing success in effervescent Paris (Icons, 1900) and Mucha’s huge format paintings (Utopia), regrouped and presented as never seen before, in a way that would be impossible to show physically.

Furthermore, the exhibition invites visitors to discover behind-the-scenes and making-of elements, with more immersive screenings, and interactive devices, for 30 minutes of additional experiences.

ETERNAL MUCHA was co-produced with the Mucha Foundation, providing unique access to the artworks and stories of Alphonse Mucha, the Art Nouveau movement, and Mucha’s artistic legacy. The exhibition is also available for touring, and professionals are invited to visit the exhibition in Paris and/or request touring documentation.
