Eerie escape experience features rooms based on the Jade of the Orient restaurant and Pennywise’s lair

Las Vegas’ It-themed escape room has expanded to include an It Chapter Two experience, with rooms inspired by iconic scenes from the 2019 horror film.

The 30,000-square-foot escape venue is based on It, the highest-grossing horror film of all time, and now its blockbuster sequel, It Chapter Two.

Via Fox5 Vegas, the expanded space features spooky rooms based on the Jade of the Orient restaurant and Pennywise’s lair, seen in Andy Muschietti’s adaptation of Stephen King’s original novel.

The new rooms join locations from the first film such as the Losers’ Clubhouse, the haunted Neibolt House, and the sewers below Derry.

In total, Escape It from Egan Escape Productions contains more than 16 interactive rooms utilising special effects, lighting, live actors and animatronics. It also has an It-themed retail store.

“It’s been such a thrill working with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and having them trust me with their characters and story and be able to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to the city of Las Vegas,” said Jason Egan, owner of Egan Escape Productions.

He added: “We are driven by our dedication to crafting the most imaginative and engaging encounters, and this latest venture promises to be our most chilling offering yet. Prepare to be greeted by Pennywise the Dancing Clown as you step into the eeriness of the town of Derry.”

Horror LBE

Egan Escape Productions also teamed up with Lionsgate on an escape experience in Vegas inspired by the Blair Witch film franchise, as well as a Saw-themed escape attraction.

Horror-themed location-based entertainment (LBE) is a growing trend in the attractions business. So much so that Universal is opening a new year-round horror experience at Area15 in Vegas.

In an interview with blooloop, Area15’s CEO Winston Fisher said the destination is going to be “incredible and standout”.
