Brogent Technologies Best Dark Ride

Firm celebrates success at European Star Awards, and shares news of It’s Africa film and the o-Ride flying theatre

Brogent Technologies Inc., a leading manufacturer of media-based attractions, has been named the winner of the Best Dark Ride award at the acclaimed European Star Awards, for its project Voletarium.

Voletarium is an ambitious flying theatre which was created for Europa-Park, the biggest theme park in Germany. The ride was installed in 2017, and has attracted up to 10,000 visitors per day. Voletarium has a capacity of 140 guests and utilises Brogent’s innovative i-Ride flying theatre system.

CH Ouyang, chairman of Brogent Technologies, says: “Voletarium received the Best New Ride award at the European Star Awards in its inaugural year of 2017, and we are greatly honored to once again win the top position in the ‘Best Dark Ride’ category with Voletarium.”

Brogent Technologies is committed to upholding exceptional levels of quality, safety and enjoyment in its experiences.

‘It’s Africa’ coming to flying theatres

At IAAPA Expo Europe 2023, Brogent Technologies shared more news as it revealed a partnership with acclaimed German production firm Mack Animation. This project will create the world’s first 10K flying theatre film to focus exclusively on the beauty of the African continent, and will predominantly feature real aerial footage.

The collaboration demonstrates Brogent’s drive to become a comprehensive solutions provider offering services including theme design, ride production, installation, maintenance, and film production.

It’s Africa is a groundbreaking cinematic masterpiece in which audiences soar over Africa’s beautiful landscapes in a tour which includes views of Kilimanjaro, Lake Turkana, and the Great Migration. The production team spent nearly a year exploring the most remote and little-explored corners of Africa, flying over 17 African countries to capture the spirit of this extraordinary continent.

This ultra-high-resolution movie delivers outstanding image quality on all current flying theatre systems, with a particular emphasis on optimisation for the most recent generation of LED dome screens.

Affordable flying theatre

Brogent Technologies has also launched its turnkey o-Ride flying theatre. This cutting-edge system offers an efficient and affordable way to build a flying theatre. The build is managed by the Brogent team, attractions are only required to supply a load-bearing surface.

It only takes three months to finish the full installation, including the building frontage. This fast setup time means that the theatre is a quick and affordable addition to an attraction, and so has enabled Brogent to expand into new markets.

The product has already strengthened Brogent Technologies’ position in the global flying theatre market, as the firm steps into the South American market with an order for the o-Ride flying theatre from Brazil. This leaves Africa as the only region in this market that the firm is still to enter.

The o-Ride flying theatre is not just designed for the South American market, but it is also appropriate for all clients worldwide who are looking for low-cost flying theatres. This new product has received orders from Mainland China, Brazil, and Japan since it was introduced at the end of 2022.

The firm expects that the product will expand further into emerging markets and that this increased market share will cement Brogent Technologies’ position as an industry leader.

Earlier this year, Brogent Technologies Inc. announced its plans to provide its luxury immersive virtual racing experience with 6DOF motion to the indoor theme-park Doha Quest, in Qatar.
