UCARGO Highly Commended at BIFA Awards 2023

Firm was highly commended in the Project Forwarding category for transporting 122 pieces of freight to Kuwait

UCARGO, the international freight forwarder, has been honoured at the British International Freight Association (BIFA) Awards 2023, where it was highly commended in the Project Forwarding category.

The winners were announced at a ceremony in central London on 18 January. This event gathered industry leaders to celebrate excellence in logistics, and was hosted by renowned broadcaster and “Queen of the Pit Lane” Suzi Perry.

Dedication to excellence

UCARGO was shortlisted for both the Project Forwarding and Specialist Services categories in BIFA Awards 2023. The judges were impressed by UCARGO’s project and presentation, and the firm was awarded a prestigious highly commended trophy in the Project Forwarding category.

The firm comments: “The accolade adds another jewel to our crown, as we’ve not only won an award previously but also secured finalist positions for seven consecutive years. This remarkable achievement is a true cause for celebration and a testament to UCARGO’s consistent commitment to excellence in the freight and logistics sector.”

The awards recognised the achievement of businesses and individuals in the logistics sector in 2023. The winners and finalists across 11 categories were honoured for their contributions to innovation in the industry.

The event also provided a platform for partnership and networking. UCARGO concludes: “As we reflect on the BIFA Awards 2023, UCARGO is immensely proud to be highly commended. This acknowledgement fuels our passion to continually elevate our logistics solutions. Here’s to more successes, collaborative ventures, and continued recognition in the years to come!”

UCARGO’s award-winning project involved the transportation of 122 pieces of freight for the Wonderland event in Kuwait, which launched last October. This included 122 components which were categorised into trailers, containers, and break-bulk, with a vessel that was chartered from Southampton to Kuwait. UCARGO was also required to coordinate the arrival of event equipment from across the world.
