DOF Robotics appoints Sam Rhodes as president of North America

Appointment supports the firm’s ambitions to enhance its influence and innovate in North American markets

DOF Robotics, a producer of dynamic simulation platforms, has appointed Sam Rhodes as its new president of North America.

Rhodes has more than 25 years of experience in the amusement business. He joins DOF Robotics following 16 years of service at Six Flags, where he held the position of vice president for the final three years. This appointment is an important milestone for DOF Robotics, as the firm seeks to enhance its influence and innovate in North American markets.

Bakit Baydaliev, CEO of DOF Robotics, says: “I am proudly announcing that Sam Rhodes has joined the DOF team. In his new role as president of North America, he will continue to bring exceptional experiences that will make the amusement industry even better.”

Advancing amusement technology

Under Rhodes’ direction, DOF Robotics is poised to launch innovative entertainment solutions that aim to improve how viewers interact with entertainment technologies. Celebrated for their groundbreaking contributions to the industry and winners of numerous honours, including the esteemed IAAPA Brass Ring Award, DOF Robotics continually challenges the limits of amusement technology.

DOF Robotics recently exhibited at the 25th IAAPI Amusement Expo in Mumbai where it was honoured with the International Manufacturer Award 2024. This event is organised by the Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI) and also featured the annual IAAPI National Awards for Excellence celebration. IAAPI is committed to the promotion and advocacy of the amusement sector in India and beyond.

The firm was also recognised with the Most Innovative Ride award which it received for its Hurricane 360 attraction. This ride is located at Funtura (Lulu) Kochi Mall’s Family Entertainment Center (FEC) in India and showcases the company’s inventive approach and ability to engage with an extensive range of guests from around the world.

Earlier this year, DOF Robotics announced the appointment of Burak Sar as its new chief commercial officer. Sar is renowned for his work in the amusement sector, including extensive experience as a sales manager for a water slide manufacturer. He will head the firm’s sales and marketing, and his broad knowledge and proven track record will be vital for the rollout of the business’ revenue-sharing model and the expansion of location-based activities.
