Reimagined Camp Snoopy includes a new family-friendly coaster

Knott’s Berry Farm has announced an opening date for its new Camp Snoopy land, which debuts on 27 June with four new attractions.

The reimagined Camp Snoopy area at Knott’s Berry Farm includes a new family-friendly coaster, a giant swing, and new character experiences.

On Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster, guests will ride up a lift hill before enjoying a “pint-sized launch”, Knott’s said in a press release.

Sally’s Swing Along is a new experience where campers can swing and sing along, gliding 10 feet into the sky.

Rocky Mountain Trucking Company has been transformed into Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally, where drivers race around an expanded track and terrain in Peanuts-themed jeeps. Additionally, the newly themed Beagle Express takes guests on a locomotive ride.

Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster, Sally’s Swing Along, and Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally are by Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer.

Also on offer in Camp Snoopy are the Grizzly Creek Lodge F&B outlet, and the renovated Snoopy’s Camp Store.

Finally, the former theatre area is becoming a large green space called Beagle Scout Acres. This is scheduled to open later this summer.

Owned and operated by Cedar Fair, Knott’s Berry Farm in California is home to world-class coasters, family rides and interactive experiences. It also includes an 1800s Ghost Town, the Knott’s Soak City Waterpark, and the renovated Knott’s Hotel.

Another Cedar Fair park, Kings Island in Ohio, recently opened its new Camp Snoopy land. This contains a new Peanuts-themed coaster called Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers by Vekoma Rides, the Dutch roller coaster specialist.

Camp Snoopy at Kings Island is an expansion of the park’s award-winning Planet Snoopy area.
