Teo announces Cultural Dialogue Survey 2025

The Touring Exhibitions Organisation (Teo), a one-stop resource platform for the international touring exhibitions community, together with Culture Connect, has announced the 2025 Cultural Dialogue Survey.

This is the third edition of the international survey on the future of touring exhibitions, which invites the touring exhibitions community to share their perspectives and vision for the sector.

All professionals working in museums, galleries, science centres, exhibition spaces, heritage venues, libraries, archives, and gardens throughout the world who host, tour, produce, and promote cultural exhibitions are welcome to participate in this inclusive survey.

The first two editions investigated the impact of significant current crises and identified crucial trends. These surveys called into question the power of the object in exhibitions, revealed tried-and-tested sustainability techniques, and emphasised the sector’s resilience and optimism.

A spokesperson from Teo says: “As our context of globalisation continues to be put into question, the survey series is designed to map the appetite for cultural dialogue through touring exhibitions, to collectively build an understanding of important future trends and open a dialogue for thinking about and planning for the future of touring exhibitions.

“Four years on from the first survey, what long-term trends have emerged, and what challenges are expected for the future?”

Teo and Culture Connect are again partnering for the 2025 Cultural Dialogue Survey. Culture Connect is a consultancy that specialises in harnessing the power of the cultural sector to connect people, institutions, and countries.

The survey is available until 10 February 2025. Culture Connect will reveal the findings at Teo Live in an online event on 15 May 2025.

Earlier this month, Teo announced that it will host the Touring Exhibitions Pavilion in Paris in partnership with Museum Connections. This yearly event is dedicated to international touring exhibitions and gathers global producers and hosts of travelling exhibitions to share the latest productions, trends, and projects.
