The American LGBTQ+ Museum has teamed up with Laithwaites Wine to release a limited-edition wine to support its future spaces, programming and exhibitions.
The queer-themed wine, called Pride Blend, was made to display “the vibrance of its community”, and 10 percent of its proceeds with go to the museum, a press release says.
“We are deeply honored by the creation of the Pride Blend and the generous support it brings to the American LGBTQ+ Museum,” said Ben Garcia, executive director of the American LGBTQ+ Museum.
“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to visibility, inclusivity and mutual support within our community.”
10% of proceeds go to new museum
Per the press release, every bottle of Pride Blend sold “will help the museum create spaces that tell, and cherish, LGBTQ+ stories“.
The American LGBTQ+ Museum is due to open in its new home in 2026. It is located on the top floor of the New York Historical’s new wing for American democracy.
Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the upcoming wing will also house new gallery spaces, classrooms, a courtyard, and a rooftop garden with views of Central Park.
“We hope the LGBTQ+ community put this bottle on proud display and put it to good use at a big celebration. We love knowing the donated proceeds will lead to more special experiences, created by the museum itself,” said Tony Laithwaite, founder of Laithwaites Wine.

Pride Blend is crafted by Washington-based lesbian winemaker Annette Bergevin. It will be poured at events for the American LGBTQ+ Museum throughout the year and is available for purchase here.
In more news, Poland’s first LGBTQ+ museum has opened to visitors in Warsaw. The project was led by the country’s oldest LGBTQ+ organisation, Lambda Warszawa.
Many of the 150 objects on view in the QueerMuzeum come from Lambda Warszawa’s collection, displayed in chronological order starting in the 16th century.
