Attractions.io, a leading creator of mobile visitor apps, has partnered with San Diego Wildlife Alliance in order to launch a new mobile app experience, created to enhance guest visits and to digitise memberships and ticketing, as well as to boost conservation efforts.
San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is the nonprofit conservation organisation behind the popular San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park in California, US. The new apps will play a key role in bringing a unified, branded experience to both venues.
Creating a better digital experience
The organisation is the largest zoological membership association in the world and was in need of a way to introduce a better digital experience for its 500,000 members – one which allows visitors to store tickets and passes digitally.
Thanks to the new apps from Attractions.io, visitors to both parks will now enjoy seamless, scan-and-go entry, which cuts down on both the need for waiting lines and the need for paper tickets and printed maps.
More and more zoos are adopting mobile apps to help them communicate better with their guests, to improve the overall visitor experience and, in the wake of COVID-19, enable social distancing. Apps also help organisations such as the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance to support their conservation missions by identifying more engaged visitors and sharing relevant information on how they can help.
