Bahia Principe has opened its 25th hotel, an ultra-themed, five-star fairytale resort called Fantasia in the island of Tenerife, Spain.
Fantasia Bahia Principe is a $90 million investment. It features a water park, a wellness centre, five restaurants and seven swimming pools over 480,000 square feet of space.
The resort includes striking elements of theming including a white castle and replica “Dragon Tree,” known as the Drago Milenario de Icod de los Vinos. At night, both are lit up by spectacular light shows.
Fantasia is Bahia Principe’s family-friendly concept offering themed hotels and an enchanting vacation experience.
Isabel Piñero, vice president of marketing and communications for Grupo Piñero, Bahia Principe’s parent company, said: “The opening of Fantasia Bahia Principe Tenerife marks several milestones for our company. On one hand, it consolidates and reaffirms our commitment to Spain, where seven of our 25 hotels are located. Ultra-themed resorts
Ultra-themed resorts could be poised to be the next big thing. Walt Disney World will soon open the yet to be named Star Wars themed resort property.
The fully-immersive experiential voyage begins as soon as guests step into the starship-themed hotel and leave the real world behind. Employees dressed in alien costumes staff the front desk. Remote-controlled butler droids assist with luggage. Stars and planets hover in virtual windows as spaceships fly past. Visitors don jedi robes and join the rebel resistance. All in support of a continuously-evolving story that unfolds over multiple days and nights.
