Admission software specialist, Gateway Ticketing has been selected to provide a complete ticketing and retail solution for the Gateway Arch, St Louis.

The iconic landmark and Gateway Arch Riverboats together attract over 2 million visitors a year.

Both will use Gateway’s flagship Galaxy® Product Suite including ticketing, admission control, group sales, eGalaxy™ responsive design webstore, resource management, upsell capabilities, food and beverage, and retail solutions.

“We are very excited to partner with Gateway Ticketing Systems, an organisation that has an incredible footprint in working with tourist destinations, ” comments Sarah Clarke, acting Director of Arch operations for Bi-State Development, which operates the Arch’s ticketing and tram system. “Their suite of services and technical support will enhance our visitor experience, and allow our guests to enjoy a top-notch Arch and riverboat experience.”

The Gateway Arch, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1947 as a memorial to America’s westward expansion, celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. Constructed from stainless steel, the monument towers 630ft over the Mississippi River.

Steve Bell, Gateway Ticketing Systems’ Business Solutions Architect, said the memorial needed a reliable partner that could provide support outside normal business hours:

“With our 24.7.365 support and commitment to customer care, we will be there for them whenever they need us while also delivering a stable, robust software solution that will provide their guests with a better experience.”
