The Summer Comeback conference aims to help tourism and travel-fed businesses quickly recover this high season

Tiqets, a leading booking partner for museums and attractions, is hosting a free online conference on Wednesday, 2 June 2021. Museums, attractions, and travel businesses will come together to share strategies with the goal of fast-tracking recovery this summer. Register for free here.

Preparing for high season

Tiqets’ services make culture more accessible for more people with instant, last-minute and mobile tickets at museums and attractions worldwide. Maarten Raaijmakers, Tiqets’ Chief Supply Officer contends that rapid recovery for COVID-hit attractions businesses is possible right now.

“Consumers have missed the tourism industry as much as we’ve missed them. A recent Tiqets survey found that 92 percent of people plan to visit museums and attractions within the first six months of their reopening,” says Raaijmakers.

“That’s a lot of pent-up demand that the industry has to be ready to capture. Tiqets’ Summer Comeback conference will help museums, attractions, and travel businesses get back on their feet swiftly with the right post-Covid, high-season strategies.”

Experts to give insights

The Summer Comeback contributors include speakers from Lonely Planet, BarcelonaTurisme and Travel & Leisure magazine. The keynote “A moment of opportunity” is with Lonely Planet Experiences Vice President Tom Hall, who will identify today’s trends. He will demonstrate how to use this season as an opportunity to reengage sizable audiences.

Following the keynote is a panel on actionable strategies for success, “How to Stand Out to Visitors This Summer.” Hall will be joined by Travel & Leisure travel writer Stacey Leasca, BarcelonaTurisme Sales Manager Gianluca Camaggio, and Raaijmakers. After this talk, venues and distributors partnering with Tiquets may stay for a more intimate roundtable discussion within their markets.

“This summer provides a fantastic opportunity for recovery to really take off. Visitors will be keen to get to know iconic museums and attractions that they’ve missed over the winter months.

“For attractions, there are great opportunities to build new audiences experiencing a new side of holidaying closer to home. It adds up to an exciting time and a chance to look forward,” says Hall.

Tiqets recently released a brand-new e-book on how to provide a world-class visitor experience, using the secrets of leading museums.
