ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, celebrates the unveiling of a new Dueling PIPElineBLAST Water Coaster at Cafalandia in Bogota, Colombia. The 2019 IAAPA IMPACT Award-winning high-performance water ride is the first of its kind to debut in Latin America.
A regional first

Adding an element of competitive water ride “racing” to the Colombian park is one that is increasingly popular worldwide. In effect, the water coaster pits riders head-to-head against each other in a race to the finish.
Ride path design
Propelled by 2 patented BLAST booster sections with precisely positioned water nozzles, racers speed up inclines. Following straightaways, grippy turns accelerate racers into 6 of ProSlide’s award-winning FlyingSAUCER features inspired by ProSlide’s skiing heritage.
Then, the patented FlyingSAUCER mimics the trajectory of a slalom ski turn, initiating a drop and dive sensation. Other patented features of the ride increase the sensation of racing by design. Called RallyPOINTS, sections with low walls enhance the feeling of racing because riders can see and hear their competitors throughout.
Since the Dueling PIPElineBLAST is situated amid the trees, preserving the lush vegetation posed a challenge. However, the ProSlide’s ride design team adapted the ride path to avoid environmental damage.
