Vennersys, the integrated ticketing, retail and visitor management company, has been chosen by Museums & Galleries Edinburgh to provide its integrated ticketing and EPoS system. Museums & Galleries Edinburgh is owned and run by The City of Edinburgh Council, and consists of 13 venues and more than 200 monuments throughout the city, including The Museum of Edinburgh.

Now, these institutions have implemented the VenposCluod integrated ticketing and EPoS system, which brings together ticketing, retail, stock management, reporting and online donations in one easy-to-use solution.

New solution for Edinburgh museums

The Museum of Edinburgh is a popular visitor destination with a varied collection, housed in a maze of 16th-century buildings. Highlights include the National Covenant of 1638, which led to civil war, and the collar and bowl of the famously loyal Greyfriars Bobby. Guests can also find the extensive collections of First World War commander Earl Haig.

Museums & Galleries Edinburgh was searching for a system that could manage both retail and admissions. With VenposCloud, they got this and more, as the EPoS system can process admissions, memberships and group bookings, as well as retail and catering transactions. This leads to greater efficiency for the venue and less waiting time for visitors.

Users can manage retail and catering stock with the Stock Management module, as well as creating purchase orders, adding deliveries and managing suppliers. Museums & Galleries Edinburgh is also enjoying the addition of a reporting feature, which its previous supplier did not offer.

Data driven insights

With data-driven insights, operators can make informed decisions and understand their guests better. As a result, they can foster customer loyalty and generate more revenue.
