Guests at the Golden Sands Holiday Park and Caister-on-Sea Holiday Park can now enjoy Sky Trail & Sky Tykes ropes courses

Innovative Leisure, a leading supplier of adventure attractions, has worked on two new developments for Bourne Leisure’s Haven Holiday Parks in the UK, both involving high ropes and junior ropes courses. The company was able to complete these projects, as well as several others, despite the impacts of COVID-19, while also continuing with its on-going service activities.

Guests at the Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, will be able to enjoy both a Sky Trail high ropes course and a Sky Tykes junior ropes course. Meanwhile, Innovative Leisure also added a Sky Trail and Sky Tykes at Caister-on-Sea Holiday Park in Norfolk.

New high ropes fun

Each Sky Trail course is a single level attraction with ten poles and 19 different adventure elements, including walk the plank and the rolling log. Both also feature an exciting roller rail element where climbers are suspended from the course and must use ropes to pull themselves across. The courses can handle 25 visitors at a time, equating to around 50 per hour.

The Sky Trail courses are suitable for all but the very youngest of guests, who are instead catered for with the Sky Tykes junior ropes courses. Both new Sky Tykes installations are seven pole courses with a Sky Rail Zip element. They have a capacity of 15 guests at a time and offer safe thrills for those as young as two-years-old.

Thanks to these new additions, both Haven parks are well-prepared for the expected UK staycation and short break market boom this year, following the pandemic. Customer feedback on the courses, during the occasions they were open in 2020, was positive, as Bourne Leisure’s Simon Palmer, Head of Activities and Leisure, explains:

“These new high ropes activities fit in with our strategy of improving the on-site offering to our owners and guests. They create an exciting focal point for family groups and allow us to do more hourly capacity than previous traditional versions. The junior courses have already performed well at two other Haven sites. Innovative Leisure has supported us throughout the projects and helped overcome some unique pandemic challenges.”

Last year, the company also reported the success of a new Sky Trail high ropes course at West Park Leisure Centre in Long Eaton, Nottingham, UK.
