Fast expanding escape room operator, Escape Reality, has just opened its first Dubai location.
The company has already opened centres in the UK and the US and is looking at further sites across the globe.
Regarding the Gulf region, 22-year-old company director, Bhakti Khubchandani, said further sites were already under consideration in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.
A relatively new phenomenon, escape rooms are rapidly catching on with a public eager for group-based, interactive activities.
It appeals to all ages and allows mixed-age groups such as multi-generation families to play together. Khubchandani says the games also offer ideal team-building experiences.
She describes them as not just ‘super fun’ but also educational:
“(Players) feel like they have learnt lessons that they can take with them outside from the experience itself,” she says.
The Dubai centre features eight escape rooms, one of which features an Arabic puzzle.
