Concept brings immersive entertainment experiences to retail locations

Valo Motion, a pioneer in combining interactive technology with physical activities, has announced that it will present its pioneering mini-amusement park concept ValoPark at MAPIC 2023.

The firm will be exhibiting in LeisurUp at the MAPIC 2023 trade show, which is taking place from 28 to 30 November in Cannes, France.

ValoPark, which was created with park operators in mind, has the potential to reinvent location-based entertainment (LBE) by offering high-impact, simple-to-manage locations in retail settings.

The attraction will enable operators to engage new audiences in retail spaces. As shopping centres and malls develop into entertainment hubs featuring dining options, sports venues, gaming areas, and amusements, ValoPark is a groundbreaking addition to the offer which provides immersive social experiences that entice and excite visitors.

Transforming retail spaces

Park operators can turn retail areas into mini-attractions with ValoPark, engaging new audiences with immersive entertainment experiences. Its design caters to a wide range of users, from families looking for novel experiences to private or corporate groups organising celebrations, and guarantees a constant flow of guests.

Another distinctive feature of ValoPark is its ease of operation. It seeks to provide guests with a flawless experience using automated technology while providing park operators with streamlined processes regardless of the size of their team.

The most appealing aspect of ValoPark, however, is its unique blend of physical activities and entertaining video games. It caters to the needs of both active people and gamers looking for exciting digital adventures. This unusual combination gets kids active and away from the couch while offering the kinds of engaging digital games they enjoy.

Dr Raine Kajastila, CEO of Valo Motion, comments: “At Valo Motion, we constantly strive to push the boundaries of what’s possible in social entertainment. With ValoPark, we’re proud to introduce a concept that merges fun, sports, games, and social engagement in retail spaces.”

Operators are able to reach large new audiences with enormous potential, transforming their venues into the go-to locations for vibrant, family-friendly enjoyment.

High replay value

ValoPark defies expectations of what is achievable in a compact footprint and will fit spaces ranging from 400 sqm to 800 sqm, with a minimum ceiling height of 3.5 m. It contains Valo Motion’s renowned mixed-reality attractions, which log 200,000 plays per day across 65 countries and 1,000 individual locations. Each of these platforms offers regular game updates, round-the-clock support, and an easy-to-use, automated interface.

Straightforward operation, low staffing and automated queuing make ValoPark a seamless experience for visitors and encourages repeat plays. In addition to gameplay, ValoPark offers excellent aesthetics, providing Instagram-worthy moments for gamers and working as an autonomous marketing machine.

Retail spaces are becoming experience hubs as fast-moving consumer expectations change. Experience-based retail is a fundamental shift rather than a passing trend. Its core is in developing immersive experiences that build meaningful relationships between visitors. There is a clear appetite for immersive video, video games, and other entertainment forms such as MR, AR, and VR technologies, with the worldwide LBE market expected to reach a value of $30.29bn by 2028.

Delegates at MAPIC 2023 can meet representatives from Valo Motion at LeisurUp, booth P-1.J8. Eldad Givon, head of business development at Valo Motion, will present the ValoPark concept at the Leisure Pitch Contest on 28 November.

Valo Motion presented its complete range of interactive attractions at IAAPA Expo 2023, including the ValoPark attraction and original game title Mine Time.
