Walltopia Group, a world leader in the climbing and adventure & leisure industries, has announced the launch of its new product line, Walltopia Playgrounds.
The new product offers family entertainment centres (FECs) an unharnessed attraction for a wide range of ages, which can be themed to include elements such as Cloud Climb, Slides, Net Maze, Trampolines, and Adventure Trail houses and tunnels.
Cost-effective fun
The Walltopia Playgrounds line is a new addition to the firm’s successful Active Entertainment portfolio, which is reaching new markets for the firm as it is deployed in locations such as ski resorts, zoos, airports, and public spaces.
Magdalena Markova, product manager, says: “In recent years, family entertainment centers have noticeably shifted their preferences towards unharnessed activities. The playground area offers the perfect way to create fun for visitors and at the same time lower maintenance costs and number of operators.”
Last year, the firm launched Net Maze. This unharnessed product is suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor locations and offers opportunities to cater for a wide range of ages.
“So far, the Net Maze has been installed in various settings, including classic FECs, schools, adventure parks, stadiums, public pools, and outdoor parks. While these nets are typically used for sports and fun in most locations, we’ve also developed a design to allow adults to unwind and socialize on the net,” says Markova.
Many FECs use showpiece harnessed attractions, such as rope courses and Fun Walls, to create a competitive offer which appeals to a broad age range, while the majority of their space is used for unharnessed attractions.
Walltopia Playgrounds cater to a diverse audience while also increasing capacity through an efficient use of space.
Creative play environments
Walltopia’s new line will offer innovative new attractions for FECs.
“We believe there is significant room for improvement in the playground industry and we are committed to driving that change,” Markova explains. “We want to create mini fantasy worlds for kids, where they can unleash their imaginations outdoors while developing their physical and social abilities.”
This will be achieved through theming options, and the ability to integrate the firm’s different products such as trampolines (pictured), tunnels, and slides. Interactive elements in each attraction encourage competitive play.
Markova adds: “We have already released some of the models that we are developing, which include Soft Play, Bloc Play, Puff Play and Signature Playgrounds, and we plan to develop many more variations of these models for both indoors and outdoors use. We are currently working on some completely new models such as curved net playgrounds, slide towers and mobile rearrangeable playgrounds. The design possibilities are endless.”
All of the products in Walltopia’s Active Entertainment range are easy to assemble and combine, so venues can expand and evolve their attraction over time.
