accesso offers Ingresso e-commerce mobile integration with Groupon

News

Thanks to an agreement with the e-commerce marketplace, accesso is to offer its Ingresso clients potential access to nearly 50 million Groupon users.

Starting in late autumn/fall, accesso’s Ingresso distribution network will integrate with Groupon. This will allow for a seamless mobile experience for Groupon customers across Ingresso’s supplier network. It will also enable current accesso clients to sell tickets through the distribution channel in real time.

Extensive audience

“Groupon is one of the leading eCommerce marketplaces that offers experiences, travel deals and goods and services from merchants in local areas across over 500 cities worldwide,” says accesso CEO Paul Noland. “By connecting our Ingresso distribution platform, we are also connecting our clients with Groupon’s extensive audience of potential customers eager to purchase and enjoy exciting experiences.”

accesso, which is active in the leisure, entertainment and cultural markets, acquired Ingresso in 2017. Its clients are largely ticketed events rather than permanent attractions. According to the technology solutions provider, the platform “helps clients drive efficiency and realise greater value from their ticketing operations.”

“Working with Ingresso gives us the ability to leverage our huge presence on mobile to provide the best possible experience for our customers and merchants,” says Brian Fields, vice-president and general manager of things to do at Groupon, which has 49.5 million active users worldwide. “As one of the biggest marketplaces for live entertainment in North America, this partnership will enable us to bring even more choices to the tens of millions of Groupon customers looking for fun things to do near them or where they travel.”

accesso’s deal with Google

The agreement with Groupon follows the accesso’s recent Reserve with Google announcement. As a result of that partnership, people browsing for things to do in their area will be able to purchase tickets to accesso-suppiorted venues and entertainment directly from Google Search, Maps and the Assistant.
