Attractions.io, a leading creator of mobile visitor apps, is celebrating positive feedback following the rollout of its app a year ago at Hunderfossen Eventyrpark.
The Norwegian family park, founded in 1984, features a number of memorable experiences including a fairytale castle and themed hotels for guests of all ages. Hunderfossen also utilises a number of digital platforms, including a free mobile app, and the focus of the park is to deliver a “magical experience” across every touchpoint it owns.
Early last year, Hunderfossen’s marketing team reached out to Attractions.io as it wanted to replace its existing app. The team were presented with a brief to enhance visitor satisfaction with an improved and robust park companion app.
Vital statistics
The new Attractions.io app benefits from 99.9% uptime and an average app rating of 4.8-stars, increasing from three stars last year. As well as the performance upgrades, the tech firm’s ready-made SaaS platform has an additional advantage over commissioning another bespoke application; Hunderfossen is saving more than 15% a year on its app development spend, whilst receiving all the benefits of an enterprise-grade platform such as the much-needed stability.
It also appears that park guests are appreciating the enhanced service. Market research shows that over 95% of app users reported a positive experience at the park in the past 12 months.
The season also saw the introduction of Simworx‘ new media-based Hyperakselerator ride, based on the stories of Norwegian illustrator Kjell Aukrust.
Hunderfossen’s marketing manager, Espen Rønning says:
“All of our key performance indicators have increased since adopting Attractions.io. We’ve also found that more of our guests leave feedback when prompted through the app, which has deepened our understanding of how they experience our attraction.”
Continuing app success
Following the app’s successful launch, Hunderfossen has taken the decision to extend its Attractions.io partnership until 2024, with the latter saying “both sides are excited to take their next step in their digital journey”. Future plans for the app include enhancements to direct messaging and the introduction of mobile food ordering.
Attraction.io’s business development manager Jacob Thompson concludes “Hunderfossen were early adopters of mobile technology, and it’s been a pleasure working with their marketing team over the past year to create a mobile experience that compliments the magical experiences guests have at the park.
“Stability challenges are now a thing of the past, and instead, the team can focus on the entire guest journey, with the app forming a crucial role in its optimisation.”
Last week, Attractions.io announced the rollout of mobile wallets for Merlin Entertainment properties including Alton Towers and LEGOLAND Windsor.
