Embed to honour International Women's Day at DEAL

Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, has announced its plans to exhibit at this year’s Dubai Entertainment Amusement and Leisure Exhibition (DEAL).

The 2024 event is the 30th edition of DEAL, and is taking place from 5 to 7 March at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Embed will celebrate International Women’s Day and present its groundbreaking technologies at the show.

Growth in the MENA region

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is a hub for the creation of outstanding theme parks and large-scale events. Here, cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are being employed for numerous major projects such as Kuwait Entertainment City and Six Flags Qiddiya. Events and entertainment that are regionalised, such as music festivals and the FIFA World Cup, increase tourism in the area and diversify the MENA’s resources beyond the oil industry.

Renee Welsh, CEO at Embed, explains: “Exciting things are happening in Dubai, where entertainment is a major contributor to the Middle East’s GDP, and we’re happy to be a part of the MENA region’s thriving entertainment sector growth.

“Virtual platforms, Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, and cashless technology have now become interactive for maximum audience engagement, more than just entertainment channels. This is why we’re in a competitive position to convert FECs in the region to go fully cashless to reap the benefits like guest personalisation, data analytics, rich data collection, revenue-boosting generators, and lower costs.”

New SaaS products

Embed will showcase its most recent ground-breaking developments at DEAL. This will include its SaaS products, which include the acclaimed Mobile Wallet and STATS.

Embed’s Mobile Wallet 2022-2023 metric findings reveal a significant lift in average reload value, which has increased by five times. It has reached around AED 185.74, in comparison to cash (about AED 36.36,) and credit card (approximately AED 117.35). In addition, the results show 60% of reloads occur before visitors arrive at the FEC. The Mobile Wallet helped Majid Al Futtaim’s Magic Planet win the 2023 MENALAC Award for Most Innovative Application of Technology.

STATS is an Amazon Web Services-powered business intelligence dashboard that provides operators with data on their FECs in real time. Insights include game performance, revenue projection based on past performance, inventory, personnel allocation, and more.

In addition, the supercharged smartTOUCH+ will be arriving in the Middle East. This boasts 512 MB DDR3 RAM, quicker 528 Mhz processing power, massive 4 GB storage, an exceptional signal at 23 dBm, and data transfer at 2.4 and 5 Ghz.

Saeed Abdillahi, EMEA sales manager at Embed, enthuses: “It’s everything our customers love about our current smartTOUCH and more.”

International Women’s Day

Embed will celebrate International Women’s Day at DEAL. Welsh says: “At Embed, we believe in the value of diversity in our talent pool. We have a shared commitment to gender parity at all levels of the organisation because we believe in the boundless intellectual, leadership, cultural, and commercial strength that results from harnessing and realising the talent capital of gender and cultural equality.

“We take great pride in not only being gender-equal but putting an end to gender inequality in our tech sector.”

Sara Paz, CMO at Embed, adds: “It shouldn’t be surprising that Embed is 100% aligned with the United Nations 2024 International Women’s Day platform theme: ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.’ At Embed, we’re already there! At Embed you should ‘Expect HER in Tech!’

A 2023 McKinsey study shows that companies with significant female representation at the top earn up to 50% higher profits and stock performance! Women@Embed are never spectators – they’re an equal part of leading the high-performing teams transforming the industry of fun.”

Embed will continue its tradition of enthusiastically celebrating International Women’s Day. The firm will be giving away exclusive Women@Embed pins during DEAL. This will honour the incredible contributions and accomplishments of women in the sector.

The Embed team will showcase their lineup of integrated hardware and software solutions at DEAL from 5 to 7 March 2024. Attendees can discover technologies such as the KIOSK+ and the TOOLKIT suite, as well as game cards and wearable media.

Embed recently revealed a range of pioneering innovations, at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando. These products included Embed Success Squad and Embed GoTrain, and demonstrated the firm’s customer-focused approach which supports the success of the Embed Family of FECs.
