Embed presents SaaS solutions at AEI 2024

Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, has presented its Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and other groundbreaking technologies at the Amusement Expo International (AEI), where it was also recognised with two awards.

The event took place from 18 to 21 March in Las Vegas, and kicked off with a conference from 18 to 19 March, followed by its trade show from 20 to 21 March. Embed used the platform to highlight the significance of reliability in selecting a solutions supplier to safeguard your company’s future.

Supporting the Embed Family

Embed has a reputation for collaborating with major international tech companies to fully utilise their innovative technology and tailor it to the family entertainment market.

Since its launch in 2019, the award-winning Mobile Wallet has remained the only Apple and Google-certified FEC solution in the industry, as well as the only non-banking, non-finance, and non-healthcare solution approved to sit in a consumer’s mobile wallet (in contrast to a mobile app).

The firm has also developed STATS, a business intelligence dashboard co-created with Amazon Web Services.

Renee Welsh, CEO at Embed, says: “Fresh from The DEAL Show in Dubai, AEI has been another amazing show and we’re privileged to keep our ear to the ground and stay close to our customers – the members of the Embed family – friends, and partners in the industry, especially at a time when system reliability is a hot topic in the industry.

“We are in a strategic position to respond to the industry’s need for reliable tech partners they can trust; we’re a solutions provider that partners with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for their data centres and tech development. Our confidence comes from knowing that we partner with the best. AWS tech is reliable enough for NASA, Formula 1, the US Defence, Netflix (with 260M subscribers), and Facebook (with 3B subscribers), then we can guarantee that the Embed family of FECs are in good hands!”

CTO Andy Welsh expands on their SaaS solutions, saying that a system’s reliability is just as important as the data centres and tech partners that power it:

“The Embed system architecture is built to work even during network outages. It’s time to make the switch and upgrade to the Embed system when your current system is letting you and your guests down.”

Sara Paz, CMO and Embed Success Squad transformation guru, adds: “It’s at times like these, when other cashless players are plagued with data centre issues that result in mass outages amongst their FEC customers during busy weekend hours that Embed’s cutting-edge reliability is crystal clear!”

The Embed Success Squad, unveiled at IAAPA Orlando 2023, demonstrates the company’s dedication to its clients and their business growth. Embed’s specialised team of consultants, advocates, and trainers, including growth gurus, SaaS experts, and payment professionals, enable transformational growth through SaaS solutions.

Paz explains: “With 1-year FREE Mobile Wallet and 3-months FREE STATS subscriptions, complimentary payment gateway cost-saving analysis, free best practice training from the industry’s best FECs, free marketing kits and/or complimentary printed assets that cover the entire customer journey in an FEC, and the Embed GoTrain – all these are done to drive consumer uptake of Mobile Wallet.”

Awards success

The firm scooped two awards at AEI 2024. Embed was the winner of the prestigious AMOA Operator’s Choice Awards, which recognises its dedication to developing innovative solutions that FEC operators can rely on to enhance and simplify their businesses. Renee Welsh comments: “We are honoured to bag this amazing award and beyond grateful to our partners and members of the Embed family for making this possible!”

Embed also won the Best Booth Design award for its new modular and sustainable structure. Kathleen Goy, global head of events and marketing chief of staff, says: “This is such a huge win for us! Since using this at IAAPA Orlando 2023, this booth is a testament of our efforts towards sustainability – from digital brochures and collaterals to minimise our carbon footprint and booth modular for the flexibility to switch booth size, scale, and designs without wasting resources.”

Embed demonstrated its SaaS solutions Mobile Wallet and STATS at the booth in addition to its array of integrated hardware and software solutions. These solutions are revolutionary for revenue, operational efficiency, reduced costs, and improved guest experience. Additionally, the supercharged, faster, and smarter smartTOUCHTM+ game card reader was presented to AEI attendees.

In addition, Embed’s regional sales manager for North & South America, John Keys, took part in a roundtable discussion on Promotions That Work. This session shared best practices and insights on creating high-value, low-cost specials that delight visitors.

Celebrating the industry

Embed honoured its Top 100 FECs, the “best of the best” who shaped the industry, with an Embed Appreciation Rocket for their years of collaboration with the firm.

The recipients include FACE Amusement (10 years), IF La Fleur & Sons (11 years), Pizza Ranch (12 years), Player One (14 years), and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa (15 years).

The firm not only celebrated the Top 100 FEC’s, but also marked International Women’s Month. Embed celebrated women in technology by sharing customised Women@Embed pins. Renee Welsh says: “Women drive innovation and inspiration across various disciplines and industries. It’s only fitting that we Expect Her in Tech – which is what we are advocating for this year’s International Women’s Month, aligned with the United Nations’ theme: Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress.”

Embed will be taking part in a number of upcoming events, including the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo from 7 to 9 May, IAAPA Asia, Bangkok, from 28 to 30 May, Bowl Expo, from 1-2 July, and others.

Embed recently shared its insights into inspiring female inclusivity in the tech sector for International Women’s Day 2024. The firm shared its approach along with key research findings.
