New appointments at content capture partner Picsolve

Global image capture partner for the leisure and entertainment industry, Picsolve, has announced a series of senior leadership and tech team hires.

These appointments accelerate Picsolve’s core strategy of global expansion into a diverse range of new leisure sectors. The company is diversifying from stadia to cruise ships. The new appointments will also complement its rapid growth across the US, Europe and Asia-Pac markets.

Picsolve will continue to be dedicated to technological innovation and strategic partnerships,  demonstrating the company’s continued ambition to provide unrivalled products to world-class destinations.

Picsolve’s three new regional heads are John Barbieri, Robert Cowell and Brendan Hegarty. They will be responsible for driving new business, internal teams and partner relationships.

John Barbieri, Head of Region USA / Chief Operating Officer, joins Picsolve after 15 years at Freeze Frame, which was acquired by Picsolve at the end of last year. There, he worked across multiple elements of the imaging business, from procurement to sales, and serviced every manner of attractions from theme parks to presidential libraries. In his new role, he will oversee all company activities in the US and serve on the Picsolve Executive Management Team.

Robert Cowell, Managing Director of Asia and Middle East region, previously led the Picsolve’s strategic assessment of the Asia-Pac market. His new role enhances his status as an integral part of Picsolve’s executive team. He will be responsible for leading business strategy and developing Picsolve’s position as an industry leader.

Brendan Hegarty, UK and Europe Managing Director & Chief Commercial Officer, joins the company from OVO Energy. Hegarty is an experienced commercial leader with a track record of delivering growth for world class brands in media, telecoms, and utilities. His extensive technology and retail experience comes from holding senior leadership roles at Sky and Orange.

Technology Team

Since Innovative technology is core to Picsolve’s business, strengthening the team with a new Platform Architect and Head of Product Management will help the company to achieve its ambitions in the years ahead.

Mark Wilson has joined the team as Platform Architect. His responsibilities will include road mapping and shaping Picsolve’s technology solutions. He will lead the end-to-end architecture of Picsolve’s next generation of digital platform and introduce new technology to optimise key business processes, allowing diversification into new market segments.

Andrew Bellingham, Head of Product Management, joins Picsolve after holding the position of Head of Product and Strategy at Lloyds Online Doctor. Bellingham will lead Picsolve’s global digital product portfolio, transforming the current consumer offering and overarching guest experience into the next generation of Picsolve’s digital products.

As well as the new regional heads and technology hires, Picsolve has also added Susan Standiford as a non-executive director.

Standiford has over 20 years’ experience working for software product development and IT organisations. She has expertise in marketing, product development, design thinking. She is an expert in delivering innovative, value-adding solutions in business-to-consumer and in business-to-business organisations. She is currently Chief Technology Officer at ZEAL where she leads a team of tech professionals, coders and innovators, making her responsible for harmonising the delivery of technology operations to all of ZEAL’s businesses globally.
