Each site will benefit from a complete ecosystem of integrated solutions

Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has signed a deal which will see its state-of-the-art technology utilized in more than thirty locations of a popular golfing franchise brand.

Monster Mini Golf is an indoor glow-in-the-dark family entertainment complex with an 18-hole mini golf course, laser tag, and an arcade. One of the fastest-growing family entertainment companies in the market, Monster Mini Golf needed a solution to maintain cohesion among its franchisees and central reporting to HQ. As a result Monster Mini Golf’s US and Canada sites started moving its point-of-sale and arcade management systems to award-winning Semnox‘s Parafait suite of solutions earlier this year.

Monster Entertainment president Chris King says: “We offer our franchise owners some flexibility within their market, which is different from other Semnox multi-unit partners.

“Together we had to create a hybrid scenario to develop all needs effectively. The all-in-one system creates unification of all technologies, and the fair subscription rate doesn’t gouge expenses which is a nice touch in this industry.”

Streamlining operations

Depending on the area, Monster Mini Golf offers a range of promotions, special deals, and loyalty programmes for its visitors.

Traditionally, magnetized swipe cards were utilised in some locations while token-based arcade games were employed in others. Each franchise operator will now receive a new point-of-sale system, an upgraded arcade RFID card reader system, and self-service kiosks from Semnox Solutions.

“Our operators were using several POS Systems as well as various 3rd party applications to operate their centres. This was a barrier to effective management and analysis of our business, as we had no unification or top-level transparency. The Semnox system provided an all-in-one system that brought us all together and incorporated new tools such as online booking/reservations and eCommerce.”

Delivering better experiences

Operators will be able to set their promotions with the help of the POS system, which will also produce central reporting metrics for the corporate office. Kiosks and RFID card readers will boost sales and improve the entire guest experience.

“Of the venues we did move over, there was a 25-30 per cent immediate jump in revenue, including arcade play, as well as the ability to create and sell attraction combinations,” adds King.

Since it was founded more than 17 years ago, Monster Mini Golf has expanded considerably, and on 3 January 2023, the founder sold their franchising business to a select group of top franchisees. Semnox Solutions will power all 30-plus locations as well as upcoming locations by the autumn of 2024.

Semnox Solutions recently also aided Extravaganza Arcade in North Carolina, US to go cashless, transitioning from coin-operated games to a state-of-the-art venue featuring the latest technology.
