The firm continues to see international interest in its play attractions enhanced by VR

SPREE Interactive, a leading provider of active free-roam VR experiences, has announced another successful quarter for sales for the firm.

The announcement follows a bumper year, with SPREE Interactive previously announcing that 2021 set a new record for the firm. Following a bulk of confirmed orders during quarter one, SPREE has gone on to achieve a plus 300% revenue increase compared to 2021.

The company reports that it gained momentum during the 2021 IAAPA expo, which then continued into quarter one with its system demonstrations at Vegas’ 2022 Amusement Expo, Dubai’s DEAL Expo, and the SEA Expo in Saudi Arabia which all played a role in increasing system sales.

“With high levels of sustainable growth, award-winning recognition and consistent orders from North America, the team now sets its sights on key growth areas across the Middle East and Europe,” a representative says.

Bumper time for products

The technology firm has continued drawing sales for existing products including the SPREE Arena and Floor Pick-Up VR Bumper Cars, the latter in partnership with I.E. Park Soli Car, and licensed by VR Coaster.

SPREE has also released its new Battery Powered VR Bumper Cars in partnership with Eurogames Srl, designed for smaller Family Entertainment Centres that may not have the space for the aforementioned FPU version. The Battery Powered VR Bumper Cars product recently won ‘Best in Location-Based Entertainment’, at the Augmented World Expo Auggie Awards 2022.

In its thirteenth year, the Auggie Awards has become one of the most recognised AR & VR industry awards in the world, having more than 280 nominees in the latest edition.

“SPREE Interactive’s popularity in the public vote and recognition of Battery Powered VR Bumper Cars by the AWE committee, in a highly competitive group, is a testament to the universal popularity of the attraction.”

The firm was competing against highly-funded projects from organisations including Deloitte Digital and EXPO Dubai.

Growth plans

SPREE reports that it took pre-orders for the peak season as a result of live demonstrations, with the interactive Cyber Blaster game being chosen by venues looking to enhance their guest experience. Taking place in an immersive virtual world, Cyber Blaster was a collaboration with Pixomondo, an award-winning Hollywood studio known who have created special effects for productions including Game of Thrones.

“With a robust funnel of leads and an extremely strong sales pipeline, SPREE Interactive is set for massive expansion during the forthcoming year, aided by new offices in Texas, operating under a subsidiary LLC,” the firm adds. “SPREE is in the process of raising Series A funding to sustain the explosive growth of over 250% YoY for the third consecutive year in a row.”

SPREE Interactive recently supplied its first multi-platform VR venue in Jeddah, the Saudi Arabian capital, designed to be particularly enjoyed by younger audiences.
