Triotech unveils Rabbids Team Battle experience with Ubisoft

Since announcing a virtual reality collaboration last year with the company behind the video game Rabbids, Triotech has been collaborating closely with Ubisoft on a new interactive media-based experience. And now we know its name: Rabbids Team Battle.

Featuring the fun, irreverent yet irresistible Rabbids characters, the content is to be paired with Triotech’s XD Dark Ride interactive theatre technology. Riders/players experience an epic robot battle featuring both team and individual play, with full 4D effects.

“We’re excited to partner with Ubisoft and bring an all-new experience for the entire family,” says Triotech founder, president and CEO, Ernest Yale. “Up to now, interactive motion simulators have been limited in the number of players due to screen clutter. We feel that with Team Battle, Triotech has broken that barrier and we can offer a much higher theoretical hourly ride capacity than previously possible.”

Rabbids Team Battle is a high-capacity duelling interactive attraction. Two teams will battle it out in an oversized multi-sensory arena. Each audience member is seated in a D-BOX motion seat equipped with a new style light blaster, providing individual feedback. The team scoring elements are designed to drive interactivity and provide high replay value. An enveloping 270-degree screen combined with wind, light, and haptic effects enhance the immersion.

Ubisoft’s Rabbids have evolved from their video game roots to become a major brand in the entertainment industry. In addition to 16 million games sold worldwide, there are also four seasons of an animated shows that have garnered 2.4 billion views on digital platforms, in addition to an interactive Rabbids dark ride at Futuroscope in France.
