Simtec Systems, a leader in motion simulation, is celebrating winning two Asian industry awards for installations in China.
The firm has over three decades’ experience as a specialist in the manufacture of high-end entertainment simulator systems, including its HEXaFLITE flying theatres, dark rides, and open and closed cabin FUNRIDE motion-based simulators.
Simtec Systems won “Outstanding Motion/Flying Theaters Supplier (International)” for Flying over Chongqing, its HEXaFLITE72 Flying Theater in Chongqing Sunac Land, and “Outstanding Family Ride Supplier (International)” for three FUNRIDE21 Open Cabin Simulators in OCT Chongqing Happy Valley, China.
Flying high
Chongqing Sunac Land, found in the Shapingba District of Chongqing, was officially opened to guests in October 2020. Amongst its anchor attractions is Flying over Chongqing, a large-scale Flying Theater ride.
Found at Sunac Land Chongqing, Simtec System’s HEXaFLITE72 flying theatre uses a dynamic 6DOF hydraulic motion system, to ensure smooth movements and dynamic soaring sequences. The HEXaFLITE series benefits from high ride capacity and powerful motion performances. The system has been designed to strict safety and product design specifications for exceptional product quality and reliable operation.
Immersive animation
In July 2021, a large-scale dynamic theatre, Jett Mountain City Pursuit officially opened in July 2021 in Chongqing Happy Valley, China. Located within the first themed area to be based on the animated Super Wings IP, the entire theatre project was designed by Simtec Systems for the park.
The storyline begins with an exciting flight over Chongqing City, including the Liangjiang New District where Happy Valley is located. Three recognisable Super Wings characters feature throughout the ride.
Jett Mountain City Pursuit features three FUNRIDE large-scale 6-DOF hydraulic motion simulators, each with twenty-one seats and four fully automatic docking systems to provide faster loading and unloading.
The themed ride vehicles are equipped with a range of special effects including wind, water sprays and scents. The theatre is also equipped with ultra-high-definition audio and a 3D video system to deliver a completely immersive experience.
Simtec Systems has also won the Golden Crown Awards previously for installations at Kunming Sunac Land and Wuxi Sunac Land.
