Simtec Systems, a leader in motion simulation, is celebrating recent wins for two of its projects at the Asia Attractions Golden Crown Awards.

Simtec Systems has announced that two of its recent projects have been recognised at this year’s Asia Attractions Golden Crown Awards. The awards presentation took place on 10 December as part of the 2020 Amusement World Cultural Tourism Development Summit, which was held at the Yinji International Tourism Resort in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China.

The company was named in the category of Outstanding Thrill Rides Supplier (International) for its HEXaFLITE 72 Flying Theater “Yunnan in the Air” in Kunming Sunac Land, and in the category of Outstanding Big Rides Supplier (International) for the HEXaFLITE 72 Flying Theater “Jiangsu in the Air” in Wuxi Sunac Land.

Each of these attractions is designed for 72 guests and feature spherical LED screens that provide a pin-sharp picture. The systems were first successfully used in Sunac Land Wuxi and Guangzhou, and this was followed by system handovers in Kunming, Chengdu and Chongqing in 2020.

This bright and sharp LED technology is combined with Simtec´s dynamic motion systems to elevate the flying theatre experience to a new level.

Last month, the company also announced that it is bringing two new attractions to China – a Super Wings themed FUNRIDE 21 and the first new HEXaFLITE 2.0.

Simtec Systems has been chosen as the supplier for the key attraction at OCT Happy Valley’s new Super Wings themed land, at the park in Chongqing, China, where it will be providing three FUNRIDE open cabin simulators with 21 seats each. In addition, the new HEXaFLITE 2.0 flying theatre will be installed for a client in the greater Macau area in 2022.

The company first presented the cutting-edge HEXaFLITE 2.0 flying theatre concept in 2019. This combines the classic FUNRIDE 6 DOF simulator with a flying theatre for a unique new experience.
