Fisher Brothers has announced its acquisition of a Boeing 747 jumbo jet, which is set to become a new immersive experience at AREA15, Las Vegas’ experiential entertainment district.

Fisher Brothers is a real estate owner and operator with significant holdings in Las Vegas. It also owns and operates commercial, residential and experiential retail assets in NYC, Miami, Washington, D.C. and Orlando.

The Boeing 747 was previously used as a large-scale art installation by artist Ken Feldman of Big Imagination at the Burning Man festival.

“We are incredibly excited about the immeasurable creative opportunities that come with repurposing this 747 jet,” said Winston Fisher, partner at Fisher Brothers and CEO of AREA15.

“The possibilities of what we can accomplish with this purchase are endless, and we look forward to sharing more as our vision takes shape.”

“The acquisition and remodeling of this plane closely follows our mission at AREA15 of building an emotional connection for visitors through art, entertainment, and experiences,” Fisher added.

The aircraft, which once served as a passenger jet in Brazil, is currently being stored at the Las Vegas Speedway.

Joshua Levine of Fired Up Management brokered the deal between Fisher Brothers and the former owner of the Boeing 747.

“I am eager to watch the creative vision behind this incredible asset take shape,” said Olivia Diaz, Ward 3 Councilwoman.

“The 747 has a rich history of pushing artistic boundaries in Nevada, and we are pleased to welcome its next iteration to Las Vegas. The aircraft will surely be a new landmark for our city.”

AREA15 is a collaborative venture between Fisher Brothers and creative agency Beneville Studios. It offers live events, immersive activations, art installations, unique retail and state-of-the-art technology.

The first location opened in Las Vegas in September 2020, and a second venue in Orlando was announced earlier this year.

In 2019, a 70-metre Boeing 747 was submerged in the Persian Gulf as part of Dive Bahrain, an eco-friendly underwater attraction.
