Attractions have potential to increase returns

Tiqets, a leading booking partner for museums and attractions, has created a new guide for operators looking to improve the experience it offers to customers and guests.

Whilst venues engage a variety of marketing tools to convince prospective customers to visit their site, the most effective remains to be word-of-mouth and recommendations. In the digital age, gaining access to this data is easier than ever, with almost 9 out of 10 people using customer reviews when deciding which museums and attractions to visit.

“The five-star review is more important than ever before – if your venue is not a top-rated one, you are losing potential visitors”, says Tiqets.

For attractions, the most straightforward way to gain these much-desired full mark reviews is to provide a guest experience that people feel they have to shout about.

Award-winning role models

Tiqets have featured four prominent UK attractions in the virtual publication, including Historic Royal Palaces’ Tower of London, The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh, Royal Collections Trust’s Windsor Castle, and the Royal Liver Building 360 in Merseyside.

All four of the aforementioned sites are Tiqets 2021 Remarkable Venue Awards winners, with a full list of winners available to view on the company’s website.

Readers can learn about the power of social proof, how to tailor a visitor experience to lead to five-star reviews, and how to get teams working effectively to improve your museum or attraction’s reviews.

The e-book is the latest to be published by Tiqets, following the release of Must-Know Travel Industry Trends For the 2022 High Season last month. As part of its research, Tiqets surveyed 2,000 people across the US who travel for business, pleasure, and hybrid combinations of both, with key findings including what this consumer set likes to do when they like to do it, how far they plan ahead and how much they are likely to spend at attractions including museums.

The Level Up Your Visitor Experience study is now available to obtain exclusively from the Tiqets website, alongside a variety of attraction industry-specific guides.

Last month, Tiqets announced it will be supporting live music shows at attractions in San Francisco and London, as a result of a new partnership with Sofar Sounds, a community that stages intimate concerts at international venues.
