New publication explores travel & attractions preferences for different demographics

Tiqets, a leading booking partner for museums and attractions, has announced the release of a new free report called Must-Know Travel Industry Trends For the 2022 High Season.

In the wake of the global pandemic, travel is picking up again. As people begin to take trips once more and make the most of their post-COVID freedom, museums and attractions are looking forward to a successful season, which will help them to recover from the financial impact of the pandemic.

Ahead of the 2022 season, Tiqets surveyed 2,000 people across the US between the ages of 18 and 65 who travel for business, pleasure, and hybrid combinations of both. As a result, the company has discovered what the respondents like to do and when they like to do it, as well as how far they plan ahead and how much they are likely to spend on museums and attractions.

In addition, the team was able to break these down for particular generations, to give a more in-depth insight into people’s travel habits across different demographics – and how all of these preferences break down for particular generations.

“Our new survey with OnePoll reveals how 2,000 people across the US are approaching travel now – and what new travel segments you might be overlooking,” said Dominique Gunnick, B2B Marketing Manager at Tiqets.

“From the rise of remote work enabling freedom of travel to the difference in generational habits, there are a few noteworthy new trends that will help you draw more travellers to your museum or attraction.”

The free report is now available to download here, and features insights around the following topics:

  • How travellers from different generations make their ticket-buying choices
  • Exactly what they prefer to do, and when
  • The price they’re willing to pay to visit museums and attractions
  • Secret audiences you might not have on your radar

Earlier this month, Tiqets announced a new partnership with Sofar Sounds, a community that stages intimate concerts in unexpected venues across the globe. Together, they will be creating live music shows at attractions in San Francisco and London.

Iconic host venues for this concert series include San Francisco’s Aquarium of the Bay, Record Factory, and Red & White Fleet’s San Francisco Bay Cruise, while in London, they will be held at Westminster Abbey, Old Royal Naval College, and London Transport Museum.
