PGAV Destinations expands creative team following rapid growth

PGAV Destinations new recruits 2022

PGAV Destinations, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has announced the appointment of new colleagues representing numerous creative and professional disciplines. 

This expansion of talent coincides with the company’s double-digit volume growth, which reflects an uptick in theme parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, brand destinations, and hospitality across the world. These coworkers will bolster the Orlando and St. Louis studios of PGAV Destinations.

“We could not be more excited to welcome these amazingly talented new teammates, who will enable us to further reach for the highest standard of design and innovation,” says PGAV CEO Mike Konzen. 

This is a remarkably exciting time in the industry, and we are so pleased to enjoy a sustained period of growth. This growth comes from several key initiatives, many of which were started prior to 2020. We are looking forward to furthering robust growth in 2023 as we continue to build strength and momentum.”

New recruits

Taylor Baird, a designer and illustrator from Heber City, Utah, graduated from Savanah College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Arts in Production Design and a minor in Themed Entertainment. Baird has a history of working in the industry for more than ten years, most of which was spent at Universal Creative and the Walt Disney Company.

Jennifer Beaudean, an executive assistant from St. Louis, Missouri, graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing. At Ladue Early Childhood Center, Beaudean has over 16 years of expertise in administration and account management.

At the Art Center College of Design, senior designer Todd Dalsimer, a native of Los Angeles, California, majored in environmental design. With Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Creative, BRC Imagination Arts, Wyatt Design Group, and Landmark Entertainment Group, he has 30 yearsof prior expertise.

Breann Davis, a designer from Dallas, Texas, graduated from Kansas State University with a master’s degree in interior architecture/product design and a minor in scenic design. She formerly worked in fabrication for the live entertainment industry as a technical designer and project manager.

Elizabeth Ellinger, an architectural designer from Great Falls, Virginia, graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Architecture. She has worked with Bechtel, Oculus Light Studios, and Radiance Lightworks in the past as an architect and lighting designer.

David Garey, an architect from Port Orange, Florida, graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in architecture. Through his work at SchenkelShultz Architecture and internships at BPF Design and Universal Creative, he has five years of prior expertise.

Jacob Silbermann, an architect and LEED GA, graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a minor in sustainable real estate. He comes to PGAV from Safety Harbor, Florida, and has worked in Chicago on residential and campus projects.

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is where interior architect/designer Rachel Smith earned her degree in interior architecture. She formerly worked at Johnson Architecture, Inc., Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), and in Pilot Company’s internal architecture team.

The final appointment is University of Oregon graduate Rachel Rimmer, an architectural designer from Eugene, Oregon. In the past, Rachel worked for Walt Disney Imagineering, as well as for nonprofit organisations, civic and institutional design firms, and as a freelancer.

Alongside its latest recruitment drive, PGAV Destinations recently also announced two internal leadership promotions as a part of the firm’s multi-studio strategy.
