7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, is celebrating a regional award win which will see the firm progress to a national round.
The attractions technology firm was awarded the title of 2022 Made in the South East’s Exporter of the Year at a special finalist ceremony at Gatwick, near the UK capital of London.
Outstanding exports
The black-tie event, compered by Philip Cunliffe, features a wide range of other categories including Apprentice of the Year, Food & Drink and Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer.
A representative for the judging panel said: “7thSense invents, develops, and manufactures specific ranges of hardware and software for attractions, science centres, theme parks and live events worldwide. Its principal export markets are in the US, Japan, Australia and India.
“The judges felt the company’s significant export growth and its heavy investment in the development of its next-generation product lines, made 7thSense the outstanding exporter this year.”
“Remarkable achievement”
The Made in the South East awards, now in their eighth year, highlight and honour the region’s high-quality manufacturing sector and the skilled workforce it employs. As a result, it is a major event for industrial and engineering firms throughout the South East of the United Kingdom.
“As our third award win of the year now, this yet is another remarkable achievement for our team, and one that truly recognises the hard work, innovation and creativity of everybody at 7thSense.” added company CEO Matt Barton.
As a category winner, 7thSense is now automatically qualified to compete in the national final event, the Made in the UK Awards, which will be held at the future home of the Eurovision Song Contest, Liverpool, UK, in July 2023.
7thSense has won a range of awards this year, including an accolade for its Juggler pixel processor at the 2022 AV Awards in London.
