7thSense team wins AV award

The pixel processor range was honoured at the 2022 AV Awards in London

7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, is celebrating a recent awards win for its Juggler pixel processor range. During the ceremony for the 2022 AV Awards in London on 5 November, the product was honoured in the category of Processing and Distribution Technology of the Year.

The annual AV Awards celebrates excellence in the sector’s products, people and projects.

The firm’s Juggler pixel processor is designed to be the backbone of complex high-resolution systems and mega canvasses, with the ability to streamline, simplify and optimise workflow. It can composite and conform various sources onto the media planes, with a single frame of latency processing.

A prestigious award

In response to the industry’s need for a product that could process large media canvasses with multiple sources, 7thSense launched a suite of new capabilities this year, expanding the Juggler product. Now, users can bring together the power of multiple Jugglers to achieve common-canvas processing of up to 32 x UHD outputs with up to 32 x inputs, all at 60 FPS 10-bit 4:4:4.

Eric Cantrell, 7thSense director of sales and marketing, says: “Juggler is an incredibly exciting product of ours that’s already in operation in multiple sites globally. The 7thSense team has worked so hard on developing and launching the product range over the last few years, and we’re delighted to have had this recognised with a prestigious AV award.”

Earlier this year, blooloop spoke to 7thSense about its work as a technology partner to MSG Entertainment, contributing to the cutting-edge new MSG Sphere project in Las Vegas. Featuring a 160,000-square-foot display plane that surrounds the audience, including the world’s highest resolution LED screen with over 170 million pixels and a resolution of 16K x 16K, the ambitious $1.865 billion venue is scheduled to open in the second half of 2023.

7thSense is working with MSG Entertainment as a technology partner to ensure the speed, image quality, and integrity needed to render content for MSG Sphere.
