Imagine Exhibitions, a leader in worldwide travelling exhibitions and entertainment, created and developed the popular Harry Potter: The Exhibition in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and EMC Presents. The interactive exhibition’s New York City run began in May 2023 and due to popular demand, it has now been extended until 7 January 2024.
Located in Herald Square in Midtown, the record-breaking exhibition has already entertained a huge number of witches, wizards and Muggles from around the world with much-loved moments from the entire Wizarding World including the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.
The exhibition will honour Platform Nine and Three-Quarters with a very small number of $9.75 RUSH tickets for those in the queue at 11 a.m. to celebrate the ‘Back to Hogwarts’ season, starting on 1 September. There are also special pricing deals for the month of September.
An engaging, personalised experience
Harry Potter: The Exhibition features some of the most memorable scenes from the beloved Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts books and films and takes visitors of all ages on a unique journey honouring the whole Wizarding World.
Everyone receives an exhibition wristband upon arrival to provide a personalised experience using world-class immersive design and technology. Visitors can create their own, special magical experiences while choosing a Hogwarts house (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin), a wand, and a Patronus. They can also gain points for their house with each interactive activity.
Highlights include the From Page to Screen Gallery, featuring a first edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone protected in a Gringotts-inspired vault, and the Hogwarts Castle Gallery, home to an immersive multimedia experience with iconic elements like the Whomping Willow and Dementors, as well as the Marauder’s Map, where their name will appear.
In the Great Hall Gallery, guests can enjoy magical seasonal moments, before moving on to choose their Hogwarts house in the Hogwarts Houses Gallery and posing with the famous sorting hat. Meanwhile, in the Hogwarts Classrooms Galleries, which include props, creatures, and costumes, guests can interact with magical lessons and games through digital touchscreens, discovering behind-the-scenes secrets.
Finally, in Hagrid’s Hut and The Forbidden Forest, visitors will meet creatures from the book, like centaurs and Acromantula, and will have a chance to cast their own Patronus charm.
The onsite shop provides unique retail offerings, including clothing, jewellery and edible treats, as well as some exclusive merchandise that cannot be found at any other Wizarding World experience.
Earlier this year, Imagine Exhibitions announced that industry veteran Shawn McCoy has joined the firm as senior vice president of business development and creative strategy.
