ACCIONA Living & Culture, a leading creator of technology-driven interactive museums, exhibits, and events, has announced details of the second edition of the NEXT IN Summit, which will take place on 23 and 24 April 2025 at the ACCIONA Campus in Madrid.

NEXT IN is an international summit that focuses on the transformative power of culture to address global challenges. This event will explore how museums and cultural spaces are changing as agents of innovation, preservation, and dialogue amidst significant shifts in technology, art, economy, and urbanism. It offers a unique opportunity to share experiences, be inspired, and build business relationships.

Reimagining the future through culture

The 2025 edition of NEXT IN will examine how museums and cultural spaces can foster innovative thinking and promote adaptation in a perpetually changing world, with a central theme of Reimagining the future through culture.

The agenda will include panel sessions such as:

  • Regenerative Ecosystems: Culture for a Sustainable Future
  • Adapting to Thrive: Building Resilient Museum Business Models
  • Immersion Reimagined: The Future of Location-based Experiences
  • The Art of Attraction: What Culture Can Learn from Entertainment’s Evolution
  • The Hybrid Museum
  • Culture and the City: Shaping Urban Futures
  • Charting New Territories: The Future Landscape of Expos


Over 40 cultural experts will speak at the summit, and include Sir David Chipperfield, founder and principal, David Chipperfield Architects; Glenn D. Lowry, director, MoMA; Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, artist, Atelier Lozano-Hemmer; Marjan Faraidooni, chief of education and culture, Expo City Dubai; Elizabeth Diller, partner, Diller Scofidio + Renfro; Winston Fisher, CEO, AREA15; Oliver Jeffers, artist and author, The Studio of Oliver Jeffers; and Ryan Wineinger-Schattl, senior creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering.

Last month, ACCIONA Living & Culture announced its involvement in the revitalisation of the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration in New York City. The “Ellis Island Museum Reimagined” project is part of a $100 million initiative spearheaded by the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation.
