New thrill ride at Futuroscope opens later this month

Futuroscope has unveiled its new Mission Bermudes ride, which opens on 28 June as the final phase of the French theme park’s current investment plan.

Mission Bermudes takes visitors on a thrilling rescue adventure to the mysterious Bermuda Triangle, offering spectacular sets, sensory effects and dynamic staging.

The experience takes place on land and water, with guests riding in boat-style hybrid vehicles developed exclusively for Futuroscope in partnership with Mack Rides.

After navigating the Bermuda Triangle and escaping its rapids, guests cross a spacetime portal with a 16-metre-high waterfall at more than 60 km/h, ending their trip with a huge splash.

The launch of Mission Bermudes represents the culmination of Futuroscope’s Vision 2025 plan.

Through this, the park has invested more than €300 million in four major attractions, two themed hotels and the Aquascope water park.

“[Mission Bermudes] is fully in line with the park’s promise to offer immersive and original adventures that are accessible to all and packed with emotion,” Futuroscope said in a press release.

The biggest and most recent addition to the park is Aquascope, which opened last summer. The €57m water park is a unique concept in the attractions industry, providing an immersive aquatic experience.

Futuroscope CEO Rodolphe Bouin told blooloop in a 2024 interview: “We are currently preparing a new investment plan with our shareholders. But it is too early to talk about it, as nothing has yet been validated.”
