Don’t tell Roger Camp, President of FEC Partners LLC, it’s a down economy. In fact, the Raleigh-based investor and entrepreneur Camp thinks now is the perfect time to invest in the right vehicle and in the future of North Carolina. Camp and FEC Partners are spending millions to open that facility; a unique family entertainment center in downtown Mebane.
Z-Bowl, will feature high tech bowling lanes, one of the largest arcades in the state, several large birthday party rooms, an executive suite and adult party rooms, ‘small ball’ bowl area, billiards, a beer and wine bar, open-hearth pizza and open-flame grill. The project’s backers are enthused about opening an affordable family entertainment center in the heart of small-town North Carolina.
“I strongly believe that now is a great time to invest in the future of North Carolina, ” said Camp. “Everyone likes to bowl and there are not enough family fun centers that provide affordable entertainment options for the entire family here in North Carolina. Z-Bowl is the first of its kind and is the perfect entertainment destination for North Carolina families.”
Together with Qubica/AMF, FEC Partners is taking a leap of economic faith by investing millions of dollars in the project.
“We are making a significant investment in a place that is truly a slice of small-town Americana, ” said Camp.
Z-Bowl is already having a positive financial impact on people living in the Mebane area. Dozens of job opportunities have been created during the renovation process, including construction and skilled labor. Camp anticipates hiring approximately 50 people to run the facility’s daily operations once it opens.
With its wide selection of foreign and domestic beers, wine bar, private party rooms, outside deck seating, glassed keg rooms, wavy lighted ceilings, a reserved VIP section, numerous flat screen and projection TVs, Z-Bowl is generating both revenue and much anticipation.
“People are already talking about the opening of Z-Bowl, ” said Camp. “We’re creating a special place where families can spend the entire day and not do the same thing twice. No one will be bored!”
Z-Bowl Family Entertainment Center will be located at the corner of East Washington and 5th Street in downtown Mebane just ½ block off Highway 70 (Center Street). From I-85/I-40, take exit #153 or #154 to downtown Mebane. For more information, visit www.ZPlaceForFun.com.
