Zoos: Bug Chefs at Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans Create Saints Themed Bug Treats for Visitors

Join the Who Dat Nation “bug style” Super Bowl weekend at Audubon Insectarium.  

Our executive bug chefs will be cooking up Saints’ themed treats in Bug Appetit both Saturday, February 6 and Sunday, February 7, 2010. 

The Brees’ Bug Buffet will consist of Mealworms `a la Meachem (a sauté of mushrooms, red bell pepper and mealworms served on a toasted cracker), Colston’s Coleslaw with Crickets (the name says it all), and Fujita Fajitas (classis fajitas with wax worms added).

Saints fans will also enjoy half off admission at Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and Audubon Insectarium by wearing Saints gear on Saturday, February 6, or Sunday, February 7, 2010. 

Half-price admission applies to single ticket adult, child or senior purchase to Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium or Audubon Insectarium only.  Excludes any combo offer or other discounts. Not valid with other discounts, facilities, combo ticket programs or IMAX© admission. Discount is valid for tickets purchased at each attraction’s ticket window only. Offer not valid for tickets purchased at remote ticketsales outlets.

Audubon Zoo is located at 6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans. Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is at 1 Canal Street, and Audubon Insectarium is at 423 Canal Street. Attractions are open from 10am – 5pm both Saturday and Sunday.
