Blackpool's Pleasure Beach Resort has announced a major revamp of its Journey to Hell event for Halloween 2026.

The eerie event is being transformed into a full-day experience as theme park operators increasingly look to boost seasonal profits through scare attractions.

For the first time ever, Journey to Hell will be a full day and night experience when it debuts later this year, no longer requiring a separate evening admission ticket.

Instead, guests can purchase a regular park eTicket for 12 hours spine-chilling entertainment, with Pleasure Beach open from 10am until 10pm.

Aligning with other scare events across the UK, the park's scare mazes will now operate as optional.

Guests can purchase a full-day Journey to Hell eTicket including all scare mazes from £57, or a nighttime-only Journey to Hell eTicket including all scare mazes from £50.

A full-day Journey to Hell eTicket with no scare mazes is priced from £32, and guests are able to buy individual maze tickets on the day.

Investing in eerie entertainment

One scare maze will cost £15, two scare mazes £25, and three scare mazes £30. A new family scare maze will cost £5.

Amanda Thompson, CEO at Pleasure Beach Resort, said: "Journey to Hell has become one of our most popular seasonal events, and we want even more people to be able to experience it.

"This new format offers greater value and flexibility, and means visitors can enjoy a seamless transition from day to night."

"For those brave enough to take things further, our scare mazes are available either as a full package, or can be booked individually if you’re feeling brave on the night," she added.

From morning until early evening, Pleasure Beach will offer family-friendly thrills across the park. At 6pm, the main scare zones and late-night scare mazes will open.

Highlights will include immersive live entertainment, roaming performers, and night rides on Pleasure Beach attractions such as Aviktas, Launch Pad, Ghost Train, Big Dipper and Icon.

"Journey to Hell in 2026 will be bigger, bolder and more terrifying than ever – and this is only the beginning," Thompson said.

Journey to Hell will run from 17 October through 31 October. The maze themes and additional details will be announced at a later date.
