The Cordish Companies Propose $2.2bn Entertainment Complex ‘Live! Resorts Madrid’

The Cordish Companies have put forward plans for a mega $2.2bn entertainment complex – ‘Live! Resorts Madrid’.   The 300 acre piazza development in the Torres de la Alameda sector of Madrid would be Spain’s first Integrated Entertainment Resort Destination.

Integrated Resort & Entertainment District in Madrid is one of the most exciting and unique integrated resort & entertainment developments in Europe that will not only enhance the regional resort and entertainment markets, but also serve as a major domestic and international tourism destination. We look forward to working with the Madrid Regional Autonomous Government and the entire community as we move forward on our proposal to develop the region’s first world-class integrated resort destination.”

The development will include hotels, retail, office space and dining as well as “destination spas and lagoon style pools”,  gaming and entertainment and live performance venues featuring “Broadway-style theaters, Comedy Clubs, bowling, live music venues and movie theatres”.

The Live! District is forecast to bring in 675, 000 new visitors to Madrid in its first year and create over 56, 000 jobs.

The proposal needs the consent of the Madrid Regional Autonomous Government.
